The Annual Maine Doctors Without Borders Fundraising Evening was a great success! Our firm and our committee feel very proud to have been able to share the important lifesaving mission of Doctors Without Borders within our community. Thank you to all our important donors and attendees, you made the evening an engaging, meaningful and enjoyable experience. It was a really wonderful night, and your contributions make a real difference to the lives of so many. We also want to thank our guest speaker, Tim Harrison, who offered a thoughtful, riveting, and eye-opening presentation about his first-hand experience in extremely challenging medical situations in South Sudan and the Mediterranean. He is a real hero.
Richard Brothers started this initiative 3 years ago with the goal of promoting Doctor's Without Borders and all of the great work they do. This event has evolved so much in the last few years that it now has it's own committee for an event we hope to run for many years to come!
We were able to put on this wonderful event with the generous support of our sponsors, MaineHealth, NL Partners, Intermed, MFS Investments, and Prudential. Furthermore, our fantastic ‘Love Your Locals’ raffle was only made possible with the amazing
donations from local Portland businesses, including Shipyard Brewery, The Mind Gift Shop, Bridge Gallery, Portland Mariners, Optical Expressions, Central Provisions, Union, Salvage BBQ, Akari Salon, Portland Land and Sea Tours, Princess House, Central Provisions, Browne Trading Company, Liquid Riot, Mainiac Crossfit, Flatbread, and LeRoux Kitchen.
